Noya Hair Care Guide

Preparing Your Hair for Braiding

All hair types are perfect for Noya Hair, including 4c natural hair. Wash, condition and blow-dry your hair straight before braiding for the best results.

Achieving the Noya Hair Look

For that trendy, loose flat look, gently stretch the extensions before braiding. Opt for a smaller attachment per braid, and add a pea-sized amount of glossing hair polisher serum (like olive oil glossing hair polisher) to the extensions before braiding. It might sound a bit complicated, but don't worry! Our recommended braiders or salons know just how to do it.

*Noya Hair Maintenance Tips*

These are tips that have worked for us but we recognise that they won’t work for everyone. With every tip especially those concerning applications, we reccomend testing on a small portion of your hair / scalp to see if it works for you. We look forward to building and strengthening this guide as a community so hopefully there’s something for everyone.

1. Keep It Cool: Never dip your Noya Hair in hot water or use any heat appliances on it as it could damage your beautiful extensions.

2. Tender Loving Care: Avoid brushing or combing the tips of the hair when it's braided. Instead, gently finger comb it.

3. Hydrate Regularly: Fill a spray bottle with some leave-in conditioner and warm water. Shake it and spray your braids regularly. Then, apply your favorite hair mousse for added shine. Some of our top product recommendations include:

  • Crème of Nature Argan Shine Foaming Mousse

  • KUI - Tea Tree and Cinnamon

4. Scalp Care: Remember to oil your scalp regularly underneath your braids.

5. Protection Period: Protect your edges by keeping your braids in for 2 - 8 weeks.

6. Swim Care: If you're a water baby and love to swim, make sure you wash and condition your Noya Hair immediately after.

7. At night: Scarf/ Bonnets is best: - wrap your hair up before you sleep especially if you don’t have silk pillowcases
